Managing Director, Australia (Hybrid)
Full-time, Australia
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all functions of Australia. These include operations, program management, technology, industry relations, finance, business development and facilities. You will be responsible for guiding the country General Manager and overarching responsibility in achieving goals related to client retention, employee satisfaction, profitability, quality service, preferred vendor maximization, technology implementation and business development for assigned business function.
As a Managing Director, Australia, you will
- Lead the country manager to achieve country and customer goals
- Lead and support in initiatives to define mission, vision, goals and strategic priorities for BCD Travel
- Perform expert-level qualitative and financial analysis
- Evaluate country's financial statements for accuracy or shortfall to budget, and work with General Manager to resolve discrepancies
- Oversee country General Manager's report on progress and performance of the country against budget and targets through presentation of financial information and business review
- Oversee new and renewal contracts negotiations with clients, airline vendors and GDS systems and support negotation process for the development of Service Level Agreements that are win-win for BCD Travel and the client
- Be the sponsor of policies, service standards and procedures (functional management process, functional business planning, escalation and authorization procedures etc.)
- Maintain current state of the art information relative to the airline and travel industries
About you
- Minimum 20 years' experience of corporate travel experience with at least 12 years of experience in a management role
- Strong knowledge of travel agency operations and global travel account management
