Travel Agent (Remote/Hybrid) 

Full time, Spain

 

You’ll be part of the BCD GetGoing team- an all-in-one travel platform designed for small and midsize businesses. Built at BCD Travel, it’s a self-service solution that empowers customers to manage their travel independently. This is not a standard travel agent position. You won’t be booking trips from scratch, but rather acting as a problem solver and tech support when needed.  Your role will focus on supporting users when they encounter issues, need changes, or require rebookings.

 

As a Travel Agent, you will 

  • Support travelers in case of disruptions, changes, or rebookings during their journey
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and solutions aligned with client travel policies
  • Respond to customer inquiries via chat and email, offering expert assistance with complex travel issues
  • Provide information on industry regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.) and travel-related policies
  • Share insights on fare rules, exchange costs, and penalties to help customers make informed decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and client experience
  • Stay up to date with travel industry trends and developments relevant to the supported markets

 

About you 

  • You have travel agent experience  

  • Relevant skills in GDS (Sabre is preferred)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and additional skills in German OR French OR Dutch 

  • Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes
