Technical Analyst I (Remote)

The Technical Analyst I provides the technical aptitude necessary for Travel Operations Security to understand how platforms, integrations, and configurations affect operational risk.

 This role connects travel technology security posture with operational usage by interpreting assessment outputs, understanding how systems behave in workflows, and identifying where technical characteristics create risk exposure in daily processes.

The analyst develops functional understanding across key travel booking systems such as GDS, OBTs, Traveler Profile tools, APIs, telephony, NDC flows, and mid/back‑office integrations. They evaluate how these components interact within contact handling, booking, and profile management processes, highlighting where tool behavior, configuration gaps, or integration pathways influence data flows, caller validation, or exception handling.

Working closely with the Process & Controls Analyst, they enrich process maps with technical context and ensure that proposed controls are technically feasible, supportable, and aligned with tool capabilities. This role enables TOS to operate independently, improve decision quality, and proactively identify technical‑usage risks before they manifest operationally.

As a Technical Analyst I, you will

• Evaluate and implement methods to continually improve security and assist business with reducing risks
• Be familiar with the security requirements and controls needed to maintain the business operations
• Identify and communicate threats and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations
• Assist with communication, implementation and analysis of compliance with security policies, standards and procedures
• Collect, calculate, and format data for metrics reporting
• Monitor Information Security support desk and assist with resolution 

About you

• Combination of education and experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related curriculum
• Understanding of GDS, OBT, APIs, telephony, and booking systems
• Understands how systems connect (PNR flows, API calls, authentication scopes)
• Ability to identify root causes of usage related technical issues
• Awareness of Travel Tech Ecosystem - General familiarity with travel systems, their constraints, and security touchpoints
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
