Sports Project Leader – Sports, Media & Entertainment (Hybrid)
Full Time, Utrecht, Netherlands
You will work from home and visit the BCD Sports, Media & Entertainment office in Utrecht approximately once a week, or as requested by the client or manager. The office is easily accessible, including by public transportation, offering a great balance between remote and in‑office work.
This is a great opportunity to join our BCD Sports, Media & Entertainment team in the Netherlands and arrange all transportation for sports groups, allowing them to focus on that major tournament or training camp.
As a Sports Project Leader, you are the daily point of contact and responsible for planning transportation for various (sports) clients.
In this unique role, you arrange and coordinate transportation for group and individual travel for our sports clients. You research, negotiate, and book air and rail transport for both. You work within a small team of specialists and manage several projects simultaneously. The projects you handle are highly diverse.
What You'll Do
- Create, develop, and provide pricing transportation proposals for group travel
- Identify possible routes and capacity, requesting and negotiating fares while meeting the client’s objectives

Discuss travel options with clients
- Manage transportation bookings for groups, including split travelers, using Amadeus, online booking tools, or third‑party systems
- Manage contract procedures and advance payments and enter required data into various software tools
- Advise clients on immigration regulations and assist with visa processing
- Issue transportation documents in accordance with project‑specific requirements and ensure accurate administration
- Handle after‑sales follow‑up related to refunds and claims
What You'll Bring
- Experience planning air and rail travel
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English
- Experience working with GDS Amadeus
- Strong relationship‑management skills, with the ability to build, develop, and maintain client trust and loyalty
- Ability to identify client needs by listening, asking the right questions, and determining suitable solutions
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends when required
- A solution‑oriented mindset and enthusiasm for challenges
- You have positive energy and strong team spirit

This position is advertised across multiple European locations. The expected annual gross salary ranges by country are as follows:
- Netherlands: 37,000- 52,000 EUR
The final salary offered will ultimately depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location, and will be determined in line with internal equity.
