Production Business Development Manager – Film Industry (Remote)

12-month contract, 4 days per week, Australia

 

The Production Business Development  Manager is responsible for generating, managing, and growing relationships across film production, post-production, and publicity tour projects. This role actively prospects new opportunities, manages end-to-end client relationships, and ensures exceptional client experiences through proactive communication, strategic guidance, and the implementation of innovative tools and solutions. The role plays a key part in driving commercial growth initiatives within the Media & Entertainment sector.

 

As a Production Business Development Manager, you will

  • Proactively generate new business opportunities by leveraging film and television industry relationships and relevant contacts
  • Develop and maintain documentation and analysis across pre-production, production, post-production, and publicity phases
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships across all facets of production, including Finance, Line Producers, and Travel Coordinators
  • Provide, capture, and track ongoing constructive feedback with clients, internal teams, and studios throughout production and publicity stages
  • Support, drive and deliver key initiatives aligned with global commercial and operations strategies for contracted film studios
  • Attend key industry and networking events to build relationships, identify opportunities, and drive follow-up actions post-event

 

About you

  • Knowledge and experience within the Australian film production and publicity industry is essential
  • Prior experience in the production world a must with local Australia film/ tv  industry contacts
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Professional, concise, and mature written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and driving success in the entertainment sector
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
