Senior Generalist - People & Culture
Full-time, Colombo, Sri Lanka
The Senior Generalist - People & Culture is responsible for performing HR duties, working closely with and supporting line management and employees.
As a Senior Generalist, you will
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and labor regulations to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Stay current on labor laws and ensure timely updates and implementation of policy changes to remain legally compliant.
- Handle HR system tasks such as updating employee data, managing leave, onboarding new hires, and processing exits.
- Support business unit leaders with HR data analysis and reporting related to organizational design, compensation, and workforce metrics to promote informed decision-making and best practices.
- Coordinate and support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment
- Administer employee benefits programs and act as a key point of contact for employee queries, ensuring clear communication and compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
- Participate in and/or lead multiple HR projects simultaneously, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and outcomes.
About You
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a global organization
- Fully or partially completed bachelor’s degree, CQHRM, or equivalent HRM qualification
- Solid understanding of employment laws with practical application experience
- Strong team player with a people-focused mindset and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; prior experience with SAP-based HRMS systems is preferred
