Senior Cloud Engineer Remote

Full-time, United Kingdom

In this role, you will design and deploy mostly AWS cloud solutions that meet business requirements and ensure scalability, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with the business to understand its requirements and provide guidance on how to leverage the AWS cloud to meet those requirements. This role will configure and manage AWS services, including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Security. The ideal candidate will be creative, a problem-solver, and have attention to detail. You will need to be self-driven, motivated, and able to take full ownership of your team’s tasks and deliverables.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will

• Create and maintain documentation for AWS cloud infrastructure solutions
• Stay up to date with the latest AWS cloud technology trends and provide expert guidance
• Collaborate with other engineers to improve tools, processes, and working practices
• Mentor, lead, and provide guidance for engineers within the team
• Work within processes, openly suggest improvements, and aid the implementation of the product delivery
• Monitor and manage support tickets to ensure timely resolution and adherence to SLAs

About you

• You have experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure solutions
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and architecture (AWS certification)
• Knowledge of networking concepts and tools, such as VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls
• Understanding of security concepts and best practices in the AWS cloud environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with clients to understand their business requirements and to lead technical workshops
• Ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
