Data Governance Manager, Advito (Remote)
Full-time, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
As part of the Intelligence & Analytics department, you will be tasked with ensuring effective management, security, and compliance of the organization's data assets. They will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, collaborating with stakeholders to uphold data integrity, quality, and accessibility across the organization.


As a Data Governance Manager, you will

  • Design and implement data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and procedures, to ensure consistent and effective management of data assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal data security policies.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement data governance tools and technologies that support data lineage, metadata management, and data quality assessment.
  • Develop and execute data management strategies to optimize data utilization, minimize redundancy, and enhance data-driven decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Identify areas for improvement within data governance processes, evaluate workflows, and implement enhancements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability.

 

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance practices and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and data security best practices.
  • Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Azure Purview, Collibra).
