Manager, Data Operations, Applications and Support
Full-time, India
We are hiring a Manager Data Operations, Hotel as part of BCD Travel's consulting group, Advito. We take corporate travel programs to the next level by analyzing travel data, building program strategies, identifying risks and opportunities, and assisting in supplier negotiations.
As a Manager Data Operations - Hotel, you will be responsible for providing team leadership as well as hands-on system and process support for Advito’s CDO (Central Data Office). This includes management of direct reports, database administration, quality control, and team optimization. This position will also provide research and follow-up via phone and email to both internal and external contacts. You will manage the development of the team, as well as managing data product testing, process improvement, data quality management and data governance.
As a Manager Data Operations, you will:
- Lead an established team of data specialists
- Provide escalation assistance for difficult or complex assignments
- Establish SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and provide process mapping for repeating jobs. Strive to streamline process whenever possible.
- Work with CDO and Advito leadership to actively assist direct reports with career pathing and training
- Maintain a percentage of your time on billable analyst work
- Lead from the front mentality. We are investing heavily in our data infrastructure in 2025/2026. There will be opportunities with Databricks to automate tasks as well as utilize AI agents to accomplish tasks and QC work.
- Regularly monitor team and work product health. Regular participation in Peakon.
- Strive to establish reporting on data match rates and/or efficiencies gained
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Data and Analytics and/or Hotel Industry procurement
- Proficiency in using Microsoft suite of software products, particularly Excel (including report generation, data connection opportunities and pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with different data and analytics tools such as AWS technologies, Dbeaver, Quicksight, Tableau, and Python is a plus
- Working understanding of relational databases and using SQL and commands to access / manipulate the data
- Experience with various GDS, hotel program management and hotel sales is a plus
- Must be able to understand business rules and processes and how that impacts data and suggest appropriate reporting
- Experience in data governance and data quality management is a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and analyses
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Critical thinking and curiosity to learn more about travel industry and data trends
- Interest in working with diverse, cross functional international teams.
