Accountant II

Full time, Costa Rica, Hybrid

Candidate must be bilingual English/Spanish

 

Join our finance team as an Accountant II, where you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting by preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger and balance sheet accounts, analyzing financial data, and managing intercompany transactions, depreciation, and amortization processes.
 
As an Accountant II, you will 
 
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and support business performance.
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Assist in coaching and mentoring junior accounting team members while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Help streamline and automate accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis, research, and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
 
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in general accounting
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
