Payroll & HR Specialist (Remote)

The Payroll & HR Specialist is responsible for delivering payroll, HR operations, and employee support services across Sweden, Norway, and Finland. This role combines hands-on payroll administration, HR operational excellence, employee relations support, onboarding, HR policy, legal compliance, and benefits administration, while partnering closely with managers, employees, and external payroll providers.
The position serves as a key point of contact for people-related matters in the Nordics, ensuring compliance with local legislation, company policies, and internal procedures. The role requires strong expertise in payroll, specifically Agda PS, HR administration, and employment legislation.
As a Payroll & HR Specialist, you will
- Take full responsibility for the monthly payroll process in Sweden using the Agda PS payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Coordinate and manage payroll activities for Norway and Finland in collaboration with external payroll vendors.
- Review, validate, and approve payroll inputs, reports, and outputs to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Manage payroll-related documentation, reporting, audits, and statutory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, external vendors, and authorities.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll legislation, tax regulations, collective agreements, and company policies.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and administration across Sweden, Norway, and Finland, including employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, changes in employment, and offboarding.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with local legal requirements and GDPR.
- Support employees and managers by providing timely and professional guidance on HR-related matters.
- Prepare HR documentation, contracts, letters, and employment-related documentation as required.
- Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, absence management, disciplinary processes, and workplace concerns.
- Administer employee benefit programs across the Nordic countries and act as the main point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
- Coordinate benefit enrolments, changes, communications, and vendor relationships.
- Support compensation and salary review processes, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and local requirements.
About you
- Several years of experience working with payroll and HR administration.
- Proven experience managing payroll processes, including experience with Agda PS payroll.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
- Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR practices in Sweden.
- Experience advising managers on employee relations matters and HR processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is considered an advantage.
- Fluent in English; and Swedish is considered an advantage.

This position is advertised across multiple European locations. The expected annual gross salary ranges by country are as follows:
- Sweden: 540,000 - 660,000 SEK
The final salary offered will ultimately depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and location, and will be determined in line with internal equity.
