Director, Sales - Hotel Solutions (Remote)
Full time, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain
BCD is looking for a Europe based (virtual) Director of Sales with strong sales and hotel industry experience.
This position is part of the Hotel Solutions commercial team and supports Stay by BCD, BCD Travel’s comprehensive approach to hotel category management.
A commercially and business savvy individual, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping compelling solutions and profitable deals to transform clients’ hotel category management.
As a Director, Sales - Hotel Solutions, you will
- Develop multi-layered commercial deals, proposals and strategies to create compelling offers and profitable sales.
- Proactively identify client needs and propose solutions.
- Manage and continually develop a strong pipeline.
- Align and collaborate with key stakeholders within BCD, Advito and client organizations.
- Manage and develop internal relationships to ensure clear understanding and support of BCD’s Stay solution across BCD Sales, Program Optimization and Program Management.
- Challenge the status quo both internally and with clients.
- Work with Sales operations to respond to RFIs and RFPs.
- Successfully manage handovers to delivery teams.
- Represent BCD at Industry events, on speaker panels, host and lead educational sessions and webinars.
- Generate and manage new sales, lead client-facing sales presentations, and effectively articulate the value of BCD’s Stay solution.
About you
- Prior experience in a corporate travel sales and/or prior experience in corporate hotel or hotel category sales.
- Experienced in developing multilayer commercial deals and strategies.
- Experience in closing sales opportunities.
- Proven strength in strategic thinking, sales success, customer account management and defining commercial offers that drive profitability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence and adaptability
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong ability to translate complex information in to easy-to-understand messages and communications.
- Goal oriented self-starter with a consultative approach.
- Thorough knowledge of business travel management and hotel landscape.
- Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
- Highly developed problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple bids and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability and flexibility to work with diverse, cross functional international teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Experience of Salesforce.
