Director Program Management – Product Planning & Development (Remote)

The Director Program Management is responsible for managing multiple large, complex, cross-platform initiatives and projects in Product Planning & Development (PPD), leading multiple project managers of various platforms and software teams (both internal and external) to implement solutions end-to-end.  

This role is pivotal in delivering value for important products, services, features, and capabilities built for Corporations, Corporate Travelers, and consumers of our Travel Data API’s and Insights.

As a Director Program Management – Product Planning & Development, you will

• Oversee and manage multiple strategic investments and approved cross-platform projects to achieve a specific business objective and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Define and manage the overall program vision and initiative roadmap
• Coordinate efforts of multiple product or project teams
• Manage interdependencies and risks across platforms, following defined company standards
• Communicate with senior stakeholders and business constituents to align on timeline, scope, budget, and quality
• Manage and maintain multiple projects or initiatives as defined by platform leader to ensure accurate reporting, including monthly updates, required metrics, and scorecards
• Review planning against technical and client-facing roadmaps and priorities
• Participate in Platform/Cross Platform calls to stay aware of all areas and understand dependencies and downline effects of changes
• Ensure the program delivers expected value and meets business objectives

About you

• Previous experience as a Program Manager, managing multiple teams to deliver coordinated and integrated, end-to-end solutions 
• Strong mix of business acumen and technology proficiency
• Strong communication skills, with ability to speak to business and technical audiences of varying levels, including C-suite
• Proficiency with common software development and project management tools, in particular JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Teams, and MS office suite
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree or an MBA (or equivalent experience). PMP is a plus
• Travel technology experience (Travel e-commerce, Airline technology, content aggregators, GDS, etc.) is a plus

At BCD Travel we value you, our culture and success is defined by you. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Director, Program Management Product Planning and Development is between $105,000 and $165,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
