Director, Global Program Optimization (Remote)

The Director, Global Program Optimization is responsible for driving strategy in successfully leading and retaining a portfolio of primarily medium- to large-market and multi-national accounts. The role will also identify expansion opportunities within the existing client base across Travel, Advito & M&E. You will collaborate with our commercial and program management teams to build and deploy customized approaches in support of our existing customers in both proactive bid avoidance and competitive bid activity. This position should have the ability to participate in client-facing presentations and workshops.
As a Director, Global Program Optimization, you will
- Maintain and increase revenues through client retention and expansion of current customer programs.
- Help drive program margins and profitability by optimizing programs and retaining accounts.
- Look for opportunities for deeper program engagement to assist with cross-selling or up-selling products and services beyond standard travel program support
- Leverage existing data and information to uncover emergent data and trends to improve client retention.
- Dive into places for clients to consolidate and expand their travel program with BCD where this makes business sense for the client.
- Proactively engage with business owners regarding the renewal/bid avoidance/rebid/risk status of each assigned account throughout the life of the account.
- Facilitate project management for the entire bid process pre/during/post bid closeout.
- Ensure, oversee, and guide the project management components for the entire retention process, including timelines, resource assignments, document management, pricing, and presentations.
- Ability to manage third party consultants and strategic procurement led processes and competitive bids.
About you
- Extensive business travel industry experience with previous sales/program management focus
- Thorough knowledge of business travel management, the current competitive and supplier landscape, and travel industry technology
- Proficient in business software applications, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Must be an inquisitive problem solver motivated by uncovering problems and implementing solutions.
- Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

At BCD Travel we value you, our culture and success is defined by you. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Director, Global Program Optimization is between $115,000 and $130,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
