Director, Information Security – Product Security

Full-time, Remote USA, Canada

As the Director, Information Security – Product Security, you will serve as a security leader assigned to partner with BCD’s product planning and development organizations. You will work closely with product leadership to translate enterprise security strategy into secure development execution. You will be responsible for embedding a culture of security, identifying and managing product-related security risks, and driving initiatives that enable innovation at speed while strengthening assurance, trust, and transparency.

As a Director, Information Security – Product Security, you will

• Serve as the security liaison building strong partnerships with product planning and development leadership
• Translate enterprise-wide security strategy into actionable, product-aligned security initiatives
• Embed secure-by-design practices across the product development lifecycle, including application, API, and AI-enabled capabilities, ensuring security and risk considerations support responsible AI usage
• Integrate security risk considerations into product roadmap planning, prioritization, and launch readiness
• Establish consistent governance and engagement touchpoints to ensure security remains aligned with delivery velocity
• Drive implementation of secure development practices, including threat modeling, CI/CD security, vulnerability management, and software supply chain risk reduction
• Define and promote product security standards, requirements, and release assurance criteria across development teams
• Support customer trust and regulatory expectations by aligning product security commitments with client and compliance needs
• Leverage key performance indicators to measure product security maturity, demonstrate continuous improvement, and drive scalable risk reduction over time
• Oversee product-related security incident response readiness, including participation in tabletop exercises and resilience planning
• Foster a culture of shared security accountability and awareness across product stakeholder groups

About you

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, product security, or technology risk, including leadership responsibility
• Strong knowledge of secure software development, application and API security, cloud security, and industry frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
• Proven ability to partner with product planning and development leaders and translate security strategy into practical execution
• Experience with secure SDLC practices, vulnerability management, incident response, and software supply chain risk
• Strategic, execution-oriented leader with strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
• CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, or equivalent certifications preferred
• Awareness of emerging AI security and governance considerations within modern product development environments
• Passion for enabling secure product innovation through strong security culture and resilience

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Director, Information Security – Product Security is between $150,000 and $175,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
