Analyst CSS-DS Product Support (Remote)
Full time, Costa Rica
The position of CSS Product Analyst is responsible for the functional support of the Decision Tool application encompassing all aspects of the application. This individual will act as the functional SME.
Responsibilities encompass the analysis, testing and on-going support of the product. This individual is also responsible for establishing standards for the Agency, Customer setup as well as the management of the security permissions. This role is the key driver in the ongoing assessments of clients’ and users’ requirements, needs and product improvements and ensures product development needs are communicated to the product development team. The Product Analyst will ensure that requests and inquiries are handled in an expeditious and efficient manner and ensure the integrity of the systems to support the reporting needs. Other responsibilities include documentation and gap analysis, training, consulting and supporting client migrations and implementations. This individual also acts as a liaison and escalation point on system, data and problem solving effort.
As an Analyst CSS-DS Product Support, you will
- Serve as SME on all technical aspects of the Decision Source application and in support of the product
- Ensure that standards for product setup from a customer, agency and permissions standpoint are followed
- Be responsible for the creation and testing of clients, users, security groups and permissions
- Ensure proper customer tracking is in place for customers on DS, including the implemented functions
- Be responsible for data and/or application analysis beyond the standard troubleshooting
- Carry out testing initiatives for data validation/verification supporting implementation and/or migration initiatives
- Coordinate the uploading and maintenance of external files in support of the client’s reporting initiatives
- Participate in application testing (UAT) as required when new functionality is deployed
- Interface with users to understand requirements and translate business needs, reviews development needs with Manager and ensure those are submitted to the product development team for consideration
- Identify process improvement and service level opportunities and communicates to management
- Ensure the overall integrity of the data and the systems
- Ensure that products adhere to company-wide standards
- Provide regular status reports to management
- Provide “train the trainer” support to the internal CSS team to assist with training of the product
- Coordinate internal billing process where required
- Update tracking database
- Ensure that all CSS staff and leadership are abreast of impact areas. Determine and communicate impacts on reporting, ensuring that on-going updates are provided when unresolved issues exist
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends
- Be an escalation point for all functional product issues
About you
- Previous experience working in a technical role, supporting data and MIS systems
- Strong technical background, including knowledge of the pre-trip data, Post trip data, the collection process, work flow and the data integration
- Solid knowledge of the global data environment and data capabilities
- Strong travel industry knowledge and data/pnr formats
- Strong technology background, including an understanding of multiple environments, database systems, databases, business intelligence tools, reporting tools and a working knowledge of the development environment
- Strong competency of SQL tools and ability to effectively write and interpret queries and results to aid in troubleshooting efforts
- Collaborative skills, organizational skills, and planning skills
- Proven ability to work across all levels of management to drive results
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Able to work extended and or off-hours as needed or required
- Occasional overnight travel may be necessary
