Air Consultant, Groups (Hybrid)

Full time, Costa Rica

The Air Consultant, Groups is responsible for booking and/or ticketing airline reservations as requested by our program participants and as assigned by our Attendee Services Coordinators.

This position performs at an intermediate level and demonstrates an understanding and applicability of all areas in the travel industry. Works independently on assigned tasks. Takes the initiative to provide assistance to team members and management as requested.

As an Air Consultant, Groups, you will

• Make airline reservations using GDS system
• Monitor and manage email air folder and GDS queues for program
• Pull daily reports from registration tool to capture air booking data and special requests; Update tool on a daily basis to reflect current status in the air booking process
• Provide support and coordination relating to the traveler approval process in an effort to ensure the successful delivery of the group meeting and/or travel event
• Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of customer program/event and keep abreast of all changes
• Provide travel offers and general travel advice to travelers 

About you

• Relevant skills in GDS Sabre 
• Prior travel agency experience 
• Knowledge of incentive/meeting program elements; experience with group bookings, blocked space, Phase IV and exchanges
• Working knowledge of domestic and international air travel destinations
• Demonstrated excellent professional customer service and problem resolution skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
