Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote)

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the Accounting team by managing daily AR operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and cash application. You will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships, minimizing outstanding balances, and ensuring adherence to financial controls and company policies.

As a Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely
• Apply cash receipts and reconcile payments to customer accounts
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue balances
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Maintain customer account records and update information as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and collections processes
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and enhance efficiency
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls

About you 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Experience in accounts receivable or related role
• Experience with ERP systems (Peoplesoft, SAP, or similar preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and internal controls

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of AR Specialist is between $45,000 and $55,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
