Operations Supervisor

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our Life Science Center of Excellence Core Management leadership team. In this role, you will drive key initiatives to support business growth and profitability through operational optimization. You will oversee project development, planning, and execution, ensuring client expectations are met while managing supplier relationships and leading project teams. Responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, and supervising team members, as well as collaborating with Operations managers and suppliers to deliver services like group air fulfillment and event technology support.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing leadership and day-to-day management of staff, operational success and overall customer satisfaction in area of compliance/controls.
  • Continuous review and positive engagement of team feedback/focus groups on processes to identify gaps, overlaps and/or more efficient processes.
  • Be proactive and anticipatory with operational trends and implement necessary changes in a timely manner.
  • Develop a culture of team vs. individuals.
  • Effectively manage direct reports, setting performance expectations and providing training and skill development based on job function.
  • Schedule and hold regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings.
  • Responsiveness to staff ideas, communicate validity and action plan to implement staff member idea (credit staff members).
  • Conduct employee annual and mid-year performance reviews. Establish plans with individuals to ensure maximized performance against goals.
  • Interact with other enterprise account leadership surrounding best practices, efficiency gains and innovation.
  • Serve as a member of the BCD management team and participate in company level best practice sharing, sales opportunities, organizational education, etc.

  • Ensuring operational success and client satisfaction by maintaining high standards of compliance and controls.
  • Partnering with leadership across accounts to share best practices, innovate, and drive company-wide success.
  • Contributing to organizational initiatives, including sales opportunities, education, and sharing operational insights.

 

You might also have

  • Proven project management, team leadership and consultation skills 
  • Expert project and timeline management 
  • Client facing presence and professional verbal and written communication skills; Strong written recap skills 
  • High level of understanding of event technology with special focus on online registration software and onsite tools 
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in event online registration, program management and program operations of all sizes and complexities; Experienced each of the following components (Not necessarily on the same program)
  • Working knowledge of Cvent
  • Solid administrative skills (including strong Microsoft Outlook, Phone coverage, etc.)
  • Strong Excel reporting skills

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25% 

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Supervisor, Small Meetings (Life Sciences)  is between $63,400 - $80,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
