About the Role

Ready to build what’s next in enterprise data? As Senior Director, Data Engineering and Architecture, you will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of modern data platforms across AWS and Azure that power analytics, reporting, and smarter business decisions across the organization. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings both technical depth and big-picture thinking — someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, building at scale, and helping teams turn ambitious ideas into secure, high-performing solutions.

In this role, you will help shape the future of our data ecosystem by driving platform modernization, setting architectural direction, and leading engineering teams through meaningful transformation. You will work across technology and business teams to build scalable, reliable, and trusted data capabilities that make a real impact. If you are excited by cloud engineering, modern architecture, and the opportunity to create clarity from complexity, this is a role where you can do just that.

You’re Good At

• Leading enterprise data engineering and architecture with a balance of strategic vision and hands-on technical depth
• Building scalable, cloud-native data platforms across AWS and Azure, including batch, streaming, and real-time workloads
• Writing and guiding development in Python, SQL, Spark, and PySpark to deliver reliable, high-performing data solutions
• Establishing strong standards for data modeling, governance, observability, security, performance, and lifecycle management
• Partnering across technical and business teams, mentoring distributed teams, and translating complex technical concepts into clear business value

You Might Also Have

• Experience modernizing legacy platforms and leading cloud migration efforts across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as Amazon S3, Glacier, Glue, Redshift, Redshift Spectrum, and Kinesis, as well as Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Event Hubs, and Databricks
• A background in DataOps, CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation
• Experience leading architecture reviews, prototyping solutions, troubleshooting issues, and improving platform reliability and cost efficiency
• A leadership style that fosters accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across onshore and offshore teams
