Job Summary:

 

The Regional Account Manager is accountable for client retention, strategic development, and management of assigned accounts. Their role involves delivering exceptional support to clients and employees while demonstrating leadership in problem-solving, customer service, and adherence to policies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Supplier Relations: Monitor and ensure the team uses preferred suppliers, managing supplier spend accurately.
  • Account Management: Responsible for client relationships, product delivery, and financial performance of accounts. Collaborates with both internal and external teams, conducts client meetings, analyzes survey data for improvements, develops business plans, and maintains communication with clients regarding expectations and needs.
  • Budget Management: Monitor accounts for budget variances, conduct reviews, and report on financial metrics monthly.
  • Leadership Support: May include management of direct reports, focusing on communication, training, coaching, and problem resolution.
  • Project Management: Ensure consistent delivery of products and services, coordinate policies and long-term objectives.
  • Reporting/Technology: Set up reporting requirements, analyze data for trends, and consult on technology solutions.
  • Other Duties: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Key Contacts/Relationships:

 

  • Internal operations and sales/account management personnel.
  • External clients and industry suppliers.

Education/Knowledge/Experience:

 

  • Essential: At least 8 years in incentives or event planning, 5 years in budget management and client account management, operational management experience, team management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree and CMP or CMM certification.
