About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee a key client account. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiencies, supporting team development, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver and a champion of our company and client’s culture, engaging directly with leadership and our frontline operational team.
As a Director of Operations, you’re skilled with and passionate about:
- Account Operations Management:
- Drive operational excellence by managing all aspects of account operations, including team communication, process development and documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to elevate team performance and service delivery.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the team and with the client.
- Team Development and Support:
- Support and mentor a team of leaders across various verticals, fostering collaboration and promoting cross-functional success.
- Implement and monitor accountability measures across the account team to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Engage in hands-on problem-solving to address team challenges, creating and maintaining essential resources such as email templates, one-pagers, and procedural documents to streamline workflows.
- Partner with team leaders on people management strategies, including performance reviews, professional development, and team-building initiatives.
- Client Collaboration and Operational Success:
- Collaborate closely with the client to create, monitor and achieve agreed-upon KPIs and SLAs, consistently evaluating progress and areas for improvement.
- Assess and modernize client processes, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with team technology strategist to optimize event systems to create efficient workflows
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all procedures and processes to enhance accountability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team business analyst to oversee and manage resource model in alignment with client needs and to optimize team productivity.
- Culture Champion:
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging collaboration and innovation.
- Lead by example by actively participating in operational tasks alongside the frontline team.
You might also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the meetings and events industry.
- Experience with developing and managing strategic meetings management programs.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Knowledge of event technologies such as Cvent, Momentus and more
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving processes.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You should know:
- This role is hybrid, with the primary expectation of being on-site at the client’s headquarters in Beaverton, OR, 3-4 days per week
- Our standard working hours are 8:30 AM -5:30 PM, Monday through Friday

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Director of Operations is between $60,000 - $105,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
