About the role:
We are expanding our client dedicated team; Apple and we are looking for a Junior Meeting Planner. You will plan smaller meetings and optimize online registration process and strategies. We are looking for a confident and effective collaborator, communicator and who strives in a high paced, multi-project environment. You will work on all types of in-person and virtual events.
In addition to planning smaller events, you will also assist other meeting planners by managing the attendees for large customer facing events as well as Executive Team hosted conferences, meetings and programs of 200 – 5000+ attendees in size.
Do you have experience in online event registration management? Large housing block management? Cvent event management? Hotel or hospitality accounting? Any or all of the above? Become part of the BCD Meetings & Events team!
As a Junior Meeting Planner, you will:
- Manage all aspects of program planning and closeout
- Source and contact vendors
- Lead the online registration process for assigned events ensuring data integrity and reporting using event technology databases and Excel
- Create and distribute client-facing communication/documents
- Provide on-site support to include on-site registration, food & beverage, sleeping room coordination, meeting space management, offsite venues, and caterers.
You’re good at:
- Providing superior customer service. You go above and beyond and understand the importance in ensuring event attendees have the best experience possible.
- Managing multiple priorities and being adaptable. You have exceptional problem-solving skills, are calm under pressure.
- Cvent, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), Apple iOS
- Time management and communication
- Highly organised and detail oriented
- Being proactive and anticipating next steps or potential setbacks
You might also have:
- Cvent or Cvent Flex hands on registration and reporting experience
- Degree in Hospitality
You should know:
- This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in our London Apple office
- Our standard working hours are 9:00 – 17:30 with an hour break
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- You must have the ability and want to travel in the UK and Overseas
