Job Description


We are looking for a Senior Accountant with experience in general accounting, monthly closing, and account reconciliation, who will ensure the timely and accurate accounting record of the company's financial operations. This position will be key to maintaining the integrity of financial information, supporting audits, and contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Main responsibilities

  1. Accounting close and financial records

• Prepare and record monthly accounting entries.

• Support and follow up on the monthly accounting closing process.

• Ensure timely compliance with the activities of the month-end checklist.

• Perform analysis of accounting accounts and variations.

  1. Reconciliations and accounting control

• Prepare balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.

• Follow up on pending items and propose corrective actions.

• Manage and reconcile intercompany operations.

• Promote improvements to streamline and automate reconciliation processes.

  1. Financial and operational support

• Support the accounting team in addressing operational and technical issues.

• Review processes related to accounts payable.

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Prepare reports, analyses and ad hoc investigations for management and management.

• Provide support during internal, external and intermediate audits.

• Carry out additional activities related to the accounting and financial area.

  1. Continuous improvement and leadership

• Identify opportunities to optimize processes and reduce costs.

• Contribute to the fulfillment of the financial objectives of the area.

• Support in the supervision and accompaniment of accounting personnel, when required.

Requirements

Schooling

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related career.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting.

• Experience in monthly accounting closing, reconciliations and account analysis.

• Indispensable use of SAP and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in public accounting will be a plus.

• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP desirable.

• Treasury experience (cash handling, banking, and payments) desirable.

• Experience in supervision or management of personnel desirable.
