Group Air Coordinator

Full Time, Mumbai. India

 We are looking for a group air specialist to fill the role of Group Air Coordinator for the India market. You will be the expert in group air travel and will provide day to day support of the client’s integrated travel and meetings program (ITM) as well as provide strategic direction for the India market.  You will actively review technology and processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.

The individual will excel in providing customer service to the client and internal stakeholders through excellent problem-solving skills, facilitate client decision making process and meet or exceed SLA and KPI standards. He/she will be part of an integrated travel and meetings team and will interface with experts from the meetings space to drive improvement on the Integrated Travel and Meetings program through continuous technology integration. He/she will be the meeting planner focal point for engagement and escalation with the travel team.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support all travel for meetings registered in the meeting technology tool
  • Access meeting technology tool to pull travel request coordinate with meeting planner in India to initiate meeting participant air travel reservations
  • Produce air analysis form based on the meeting parameters and ensuring compliance to the client travel/meeting policies
  • Provide visa analysis to review the entire demographic origin to destination, advising if a Visa is required by the origin country to the destination country
  • Ensure all point-of-sale data are accurately capture for all reservations
  • Responsible for charging the right form of payment for all transactions using financial guidelines provided by the client
  • Ensure timely delivery of arrival and departure manifest and air meeting cost summary to meeting planner
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and improving standard operating procedures; communicate and support training of SOPs to all in-country travel for meetings teams
  • Provide air travel for meeting specific training to local travel operation teams
  • Support overall cost containment objectives by referring to eligible reservation requests to travel booking tool where deployed
  • Be well trained in client compliance and policy requirements and function as the internal subject matter expert within the compliance work stream
  • Work with experts in the meetings space to conduct regular review of the strategic meetings management program to identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies around the various meeting and travel integration points
  • Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, as requested
  • Co-ordinate reconciliation of all final billing

 

We’re looking for you if your profile matches the following:

  • Diploma and above
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience and more in Ticketing Reissuance /Issuance on both GDS.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who has direct group air management and/or team leader experience
  • Client facing experience is a must
  • Good knowledge of Ticket Issuance/Reissuance on CRS (Amadeus/Galileo) 
  • Good knowledge of Issuance/Reissuance/Baggage/seat/SSR Adding. on LCC Carrier.
  • Experience in handling MICE group ticketing
  • Good connection with airlines both domestic and international
  • In depth understanding of agency operational process, including front, mid and back-office processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations

You might also have:

  • Knowledge of incentive/meeting program elements is a plus
  • Competent in supporting client relationships-establishing, developing and maintaining client trust and loyalty overtime and through changes
