About the role:
We are looking for a Director Strategic Projects EMEA to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ultimately be responsible for driving strategic meeting & events (M&E) projects in EMEA that have been created by the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) in EMEA or by the Global Executive Team. Working alongside business unit (BU) leaders - in and outside the region - together with other key leaders to ensure execution of projects in a timely manner and with optimum results. 
 

As a Director Strategic Projects EMEA you will work on:
Typical simple to complex level projects which may include (but not limited to) : 

• Technology development 
  Work with the in/outside region tech team to drive adoption with Ops team for AI, automation and robotics.
• Major process changes 
  Work with the in region process improvement team to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and with optimal results
• Centralization
  Work with BU leaders to enhance or build up centralized teams
• Service enhancements
  Work with BU leaders to enhance or build up teams in markets where a specific service is missing
• Other 
  Provide recommendations and solutions that take into account the nature of our organization, the relationship we have with others in the industry (our competitive edge), and our internal organization and culture.
  Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein

You’re good at: 
•    Managing strategic projects with experience in Meetings and Events industry
•    Proven experience in Project Management
•    Process improvement 
•    Handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously 
•    Leading - setting direction, developing teamwork and collaboration, and achieving results through others
•    identifying customer needs – listening to information, asking probing questions, applying knowledge, crafting solutions
•    Applying technology as an enabler to process improvement
•    Good oral and written communication skills
•    Self-directing and Self- Motivating

You might also have: 
•    Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team of non-direct reports
•    Objectivity and independence, and strong attention to detail
•    Excellent organization skills with demonstrated follow-through on goals, plans and projects
•    Ability to assimilate many viewpoints and information to get to the root cause, key

You should know:
•    This role is remote therefore residence of a country on mainland Europe can apply
•    Regular traveling required (car/plane/train) domestically and internationally
•    This role requires the ability to work and cooperate with other employees and clients at all levels and from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, information and opinions to facilitate the task at hand.
•    Business level English required
