About the role:
BCD M&E is looking for a curious, data-savvy mind to help revolutionize our team! As a Business Analyst, you’ll dive into numbers, trends, and performance metrics to uncover insights that drive smarter decisions. Working closely with vendors and supplier teams, you’ll turn analysis into actionable strategies that boost efficiency and profitability.
You’ll be the bridge between raw data and powerful business intelligence, making information meaningful and actionable. If you love solving problems, connecting the dots between data and business impact and bringing clarity to chaos, this could be the perfect fit.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to uncover trends and opportunities
- Compiling and authenticating information from multiple channels
- Automating data processes to improve efficiency and eliminate manual headaches
- Implementing advanced data strategies to streamline business processes
- Identifying risks and opportunities while offering smart, strategic recommendations
- Collaborating with diverse teams to understand needs and deliver smart solutions
- Measure forecast accuracy, refine models, and continuously improve prediction methods
- Willingness to explore unconventional approaches and consider diverse perspectives
- Creating and managing Power BI dashboards that tell a clear, impactful story
- Ensuring data accuracy, governance, and compliance at all levels
- Staying ahead of the curve on data engineering and analytics trends
- Researching and experimenting with new tools and solutions
- Benchmarking data against industry and global standardsKeep abreast of changes in technology and the meeting industry to look for new ways of delivering value through reporting and analytics
You need to have:
- This role can be virtual and operate in the Central or Eastern time zone
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years analytics experience
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, PowerQuery, Python, Power BI, Excel)
- Experience with data modeling, database management, and ETL processes
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications and automation techniques in business analytics
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets
- Attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Effective communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaboration and teamwork to work seamlessly within cross-functional initiatives
- Curiosity and adaptability to stay ahead of trends and emerging data technologies

- Knowledge of the meetings industry

- Up to 10% travel may be required

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25%
We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Business Analyst is between $70,000 - $80,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
