Senior Event Project Manager

 

About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Event Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of high-impact, complex events. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills who can manage multiple intricate projects simultaneously and has a deep understanding of event logistics. The ideal candidate will possess a creative, consultative approach, ensuring seamless coordination of timelines, budgets, vendors, and stakeholder expectations while delivering exceptional experiences.

 

As a Senior Event Project Manager you will

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for large-scale events, including meetings, conferences, and incentive programs.
    • This role will manage the projects, not directly plan the events. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams, leadership, clients, and external partners to align event strategies with business objectives, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and smooth event execution.
  • Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including Food and Beverage, production, transportation, and on-site management.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and develop risk mitigation strategies for seamless execution.
  • Track event expenses, forecast costs, and ensure events are executed within budget while maximizing ROI.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on creative event design and strategy, leading and mentoring event managers in a collaborative environment.
  • Collect stakeholder feedback, analyze event success metrics, and optimize processes for future events.

 

You're good at

  • Project management and planning, with a strong focus on logistics and creative event design.
  • Communication and leadership, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while maintaining a high level of detail.
  • Utilizing event management and project management software effectively.

 

You might also have

  • A degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience managing complex budgets.
  • Proficiency in SmartSheets, Monday.com, and Cvent Registration.

 

You should know

  • This role requires a willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for site inspections and event operations.
  • Generally, working hours may vary based on event schedules, with the potential for evenings and weekends during peak periods.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Senior Event Project Manager  is between $64,000 - $90,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
