Senior Accountant (Remote)

Full time, Bangalore, India

 

Join BCD Group as a Senior Accountant, where you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records across assigned entities.

 

The role is responsible for supporting Record-to-Report activities, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and contributing to timely and reliable financial reporting. Working within an international finance environment, you will collaborate closely with regional Finance teams and operational stakeholders to support efficient month-end close processes and strong financial governance.

 

You will contribute to maintaining robust internal controls while supporting standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across global finance operations.

 

As a Senior Accountant, you will

  • Prepare and post general ledger journals in line with accounting policies and reporting requirements
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of general ledger balances assigned entities
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end close activities in line with global reporting timelines
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and other period-end adjustments
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual ledger movements
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, and operational finance teams
  • Support with the preparation of financial statements and management reporting requirements
  • Support internal and external audit activities through provision of documentation and analysis
  • Communicate confidently with global stakeholders across functions
  • Execute Record-to-Report activities including journal processing, ledger maintenance, and financial data validation
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular review and reconciliation of accounts
  • Support statutory and management reporting processes
  • Monitor and resolve open balance sheet items in a timely manner
  • Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes across entities
  • Collaborate with Shared Service teams to ensure consistent accounting practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency

 

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP principles
  • Experience working within multinational or Shared Service environments
  • Experience with ERP financial systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in a project-based role in the service, travel, or events industries is a plus
