Regional Finance Manager, APAC

Singapore


The Regional Finance manager is part of APAC Regional finance team to look after APAC Region entities’ finance matters for accurate and timely financial closing and reporting. The Regional Finance Manager works closely with respective finance team of APAC owned entities to drive for better transparency in financial information in compliance with BCD Group guideline, improving internal control procedure and governance compliance in accordance with local and international accounting standard In addition to above, assist in the management of financing and industry requirements of APAC HQ entities, support analyzing of APAC and financial performance.


Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Finance Department for the day to day responsibilities for all wholly owned offices
  • Manage the overall financial accounting functions, including expenses, intercompany invoicing and allocations for the APAC offices
  • Be the main point of contact for all finance related matters for Australia entity – e.g. month end closing, payroll, payroll tax filing, forecast, budget etc.
  • Conduct month end reviews on all wholly owned entities
  • Review and consolidate monthly management and financial accounting reports, income tax, GST and other statutory returns
  • Oversee and review quarterly forecast exercises and annual budgeting for all wholly owned office
  • Assist the Regional Finance Director in business planning and finance Strategy for the Region
  • Work closely with Finance Team, Senior Leadership Team and various internal business stakeholders to collaborate and help stakeholders better rationalize on KPIs, trends, financial variances and other relevant results
  • Establish a support system and perform duties as out-of-office back up for APAC Finance Team Members
  • Coordinate and implement all new finance initiatives in the Region
  • Constantly improve the finance structure and systems for appropriate financial reporting standard
  • Review, align and meet both regular as well as ad-hoc reporting timelines in accordance with Regional and Global standards
  • Responsible for the compliance and deployment of company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with Travel Finance team where necessary
  • Liaise with all external parties on all industry related and/or regulatory requirements to ensure all APAC legal entities are compliant and safeguarded at all times
  • Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position


We’re looking for you if your profile matches the following:

Essential

  • Strong quantitative analytical skills with eye of details
  • Good knowledge of finance controlling and reporting processes
  • Good follow-through on goals, plans and projects
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams located in different geographies
  • Ability to demonstrate personal and organizational integrity
  • Ability to work independently, exercising discretion and judgment
  • Capability of working in a team environment as a role model, supporting management and staff, following policies, providing feedback, assisting in special projects, and taking on additional responsibility
  • Ability to manage responsibilities in a manner to result in lower costs and better efficiencies for company
  • Capability of problem solving - Anticipating, initiating and resolving issues.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Team lead experiences of at least 2 – 3 years tenor

Preferred:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting / finance or equivalent with professional certification with local or international accountancy body
  • Minimum (5) years of accounting / finance experiences
  • Experience in the travel industry highly preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets required. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) highly preferred
