About the Role
If you love the thrill of finding the right venue, negotiating smart deals, and keeping complex details moving, this Sourcing Manager role could be your next great fit. You’ll support Life Sciences meetings in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where precision, partnership, and compliance matter. Working closely with client contacts, Meeting Managers, and suppliers, you’ll help shape venue strategy, build budgets, and drive cost savings without compromising quality. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategy, service, and sharp negotiation skills.
You’re Good At
- Negotiating hotel and venue contracts, including rates, cancellation terms, and value-added concessions with professionalism and integrity.
- Working in a structured, detail-oriented environment where compliance, process, and client expectations all play a big role.
- Partnering with clients, Meeting Managers, and operations teams to align sourcing strategy with meeting requirements and budgets.
- Managing sourcing activity through tools like Cvent, while keeping venue grids, reporting, and documentation accurate and on time.
- Communicating clearly in both French and English, written and verbal, across internal teams and external partners.
You Might Also Have
- Experience supporting Life Sciences or other highly regulated meetings where quality, accuracy, and timelines are essential.
- Familiarity with preferred vendor programs, global hotel brokers, and sourcing strategies designed to balance compliance and cost savings.
- Confidence participating in site inspections, venue presentations, and collaborative planning conversations with stakeholders.
- Experience building polished venue presentations or high-level PowerPoint decks for client review.
- Strong organization and time management skills that help you juggle multiple deadlines with ease.
You Should Know
- This hybrid role is based in Montreal, with 2 days per week in the office, and operates primarily in the Eastern Time Zone.
